YMCA - Pune - Independence Day Celebrations.

Students of EIS participated in an Inter-School competition for Folk Dance category organized by YMCA - Pune as a part of Independence Day Celebrations.
EIS students performed on Oyilattam and kavadi attam dance form. Oyilattam and kavadi attam is a popular dance form of Tamilnadu. Oyil means grace & elegance. Oyilattam is performed by villagers using handkerchief after harvest to protect the gains from birds.Kavadi is burden a devotee caries to keep a promise to lord muruga. Kavadi is a small wooden structure with an arch.
It was a perfect combination of energy, Josh, sincerity and hard work.
