EIS - MUN 2022-23

The Educon International School (EIS) Model United Nations (MUN) conference for 2022-23 was focused on the critical issue of "Human Migration and Mobility Rights". The conference provided a platform for students of Grades 7, 8, and 9 to discuss, negotiate and debate solutions to this burning issue. The students represented six countries - India, Mexico, USA, United Kingdom, China, and Australia.

The conference aimed to highlight the importance of Sustainable Development Goals in achieving a positive outcome in our fight for a better world. The students worked hard, undertaking extensive research, discussions, and deliberations, to present solutions related to the issue of migration, specific to their respective countries. The presentations were engaging and informative, with interesting questions posed by the audience during the question-answer session.

After careful consideration and voting by the delegates, mentor teachers and audience, two resolutions were passed. Mexico's solution focused on improving job opportunities and teaching citizens to fight for their rights, while the United Kingdom's solution aimed to protect migrants and combat xenophobia.

The conference was a great learning experience for the students, who developed skills as successful learners, effective contributors, confident individuals, and responsible citizens. It highlighted the importance of discussion and debate as a means to seek solutions to global problems. Overall, the EIS MUN conference for 2023 was a great success in bringing together young minds to tackle issues that affect our world today.
