EIS always focuses on helping the less fortunate through all school donation drives. Then the items collected are given to different local organizations including local orphanages, Tribal Schools, and special needs schools.

This time we partnered with Donate Aid Society which is involved in the betterment of the needy, poor and tribal people. Their activities are focused on education, health, and employment.

As per the survey conducted by the organization, there are a total of 86 Katkari Vastyas (Tribal Padas) in Mulshi Taluka. And for them, they have a special branch named Disha Kendra.

We selected a zp school from the village Ambadvet where a hamlet is situated. It was a joyful time for the 50+ EIS students of Grades 6-A and 6-B to spend some quality time with the students from Ambadvet village on Friday, December 9, 2022. The happiness of the students compounded when they actually interacted with the students from ZP school.

Children from the village showcased their talent through singing performances and EIS students were equally happy to join them. EIS students Tashi Chatterjee, Aarav Bhimani, Atharv Sharma, and Adiraj Shiradkar asked them various GK questions and got all the answers correct from them. EIS Teacher Ms. Priti Choudhary translated a few questions into Marathi as few of them could not understand Hindi.

EIS students also visited their homes in the hamlet where the school is situated. Later on, they distributed toys and stationery material donated by EIS parents during the Diwali donation drive.

EIS Teacher Ms. Monal Srivastava explained the importance of Health and Hygiene in simple language and how to do easy tasks every day to maintain the same. A small demonstration of how to wash hands before meals were shown by EIS students Durga Sankar Vadlamudi and Vaishnavi Mahajan. They also helped students wash their hands which was spontaneous and thoughtful by both of them.

It was an overwhelming experience for the EIS Students to serve snacks and Fruits to zp school students.

EIS students parted with the invitation to them to visit EIS soon!
