Case Study - Smart City

A case study is a research approach that is used to generate an in-depth, multi-faceted understanding of a complex issue in its real-life context. It is an established research design that is used extensively in a wide variety of disciplines, particularly in the social sciences.
To inculcate the research and higher-order thinking skills, grade 9 students of economics stream were provided with a case study on Smart City Mission Introduced in the economy with the objective to promote sustainable and inclusive cities that provide core infrastructure and give a decent quality of life to its citizens, a clean and sustainable environment and application of 'Smart' Solutions.
EIS Students put in tremendous work and came out with flying colours.
They came up with ample and effective solutions for the problems which few districts were facing; Issues covered were electricity, health and hygiene, water supply, transport services, transparent e-commerce transactions, infrastructure, and IT Connectivity.
EIS Economics subject teacher Ms. Monal Srivastava prepared and explained the concept that helped students understand a new approach in research.
