Global School Play Day

We play, we become creative, we share, we learn, we fight, we resolve and Enjoy through play!!!

EIS students participated in "Global School Play Day", which raises awareness about the necessity of unstructured play. The students enjoyed having unstructured playtime with no expectations or instructions from teachers!

This time due to corona pandemic, students celebrated the day from their home virtually. They were allowed to spread their toys out around the room and just PLAY!

Students presented what they wished to play with in various virtual sessions organised.

The only restrictions: they must bring toys and these toys may NOT require batteries or electricity. No devices. For example:- board games, dolls, Legos, blocks, trucks, cars, racetracks, playing cards, empty cardboard boxes, markers, jigsaw puzzles, blankets (for forts), social games (charades, Pictionary, etc.) were allowed.

Providing this 'unstructured time' allows the students to take ownership of their play and gives them an opportunity to be creative with it, promotes social skills, teamwork and problem solving abilities.
All students were thrilled to have celebrated Global School Play Day.
