Innovative Teaching @ EIS

Drama is one of the strongest medium of expression we have and the fact that it is as old as mankind, and has manifested itself in countless forms all over the world, suggests that it is an extremely wondrous art form. It acts as a useful teaching tool as it offers ways of practising reading, writing, speaking and listening in authentic contexts and provides students with the need to communicate. It also makes a positive contribution to the development of the students' thinking skills and comprehension.

In the subject English Literature, it was effectively used by EIS teacher Ms. Amruta Giridas.

The stimulus was the play “While the auto waits” written by O’Henry for Std 8th students.

The drama was presented by the grade 8 virtually. The students did their best in terms of dialogue delivery, facial expressions, creativity with costumes.

The efforts put in by the students were tremendous, huge applauds for them.
